近期全球的公司都受到疫情影響，不單零售業大受打擊，貿易及物流行業亦因為不同地區的停工，令貨運受到延誤，活動也要延期舉行。如果你需要用電郵向客戶用英文解釋因疫情延期的情況，你應該怎樣寫呢？
貨運延誤要怎麼向客人解釋？
- Due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, we regret to inform you that the delivery schedule of the goods is postponed.
因新冠病毒影響，抱歉貨品運送時期受到延誤。 - We have been trying to meet the delivery schedule of the goods, unfortunately, they would reach you later as a result of the flight/ shipping delay in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
我們正盡力確保貨品如期送抵，可惜在冠狀病毒疫情期間航班 / 船期延誤，貨品會稍後方能送上。
解釋過後，你就需要提供解決方法，禮貌上也得再給對方一個心理準備，不用遙遙無期的呆等，方便往後再與對方溝通。
- We would inform you in due course once the delivery schedule of the goods is confirmed.
如有確實的貨品運送日期，我們將盡快通知你。 - In a week from now, you would be approached via email / phone for the goods delivery progress update.
一星期內，我們將與你以電郵 / 電話聯絡 ，交待貨品送遞進度。
如果要延期舉辦活動，又可以怎樣說呢？
首先，你應該先講述現時所受的限制，並講解公司現時的處理方法：
- Following the Government’s latest regulation on group gathering prohibition and the growing concerns of COVID-19 outbreak around the world, we decided to reschedule our events from February to May to June 2020.
根據政府最新限制群組聚集規例，加上全球對新冠病毒爆發越來越多的顧慮，我們決定將 2020 年 2 月至 5 月期間活動延期至 7 月。 - In light of the uncertainty of the coronavirus developments, we are postponing the event to July.
因疫情發展不明朗，我們現將活動延至 7 月。
然後，你要向對方表達歉意，並解釋你公司採取這些措施的原因：
- We apologize for the inconvenience this causes you, and trust you would understand that the health and safety of our participants, guests and staff is our highest priority.
為你帶來各種不便，我們深感抱歉，同時相信你明白參加者、嘉賓，以至員工的健康和安全皆是我們最重視的。
以底線橫間的部份，也可換以下方式表達：
- We take the safety and health of our guests, staff and community very seriously.
來賓、員工以至社會的安全及健康的需要，我們均嚴謹處理。
如果你的公司決定延後活動或有退款安排，可以這樣寫：
- All purchases for the April dates will be honored for the rescheduled July dates. Purchasers will be notified by {Date} on how to obtain a refund if they are unable to attend.
已購買 4 月份日子的顧客，可於 7 月份享用重整日期後之服務 / 活動。如未能出席之顧客，將於 {日期} 前獲通知有關退款安排。
針對疫情特別安排，電郵應如何完結呢？
- Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you in July.
謝謝你一直支持，期望可在 7 月份相見。 - We will be hosting you this summer. Until then, stay safe and healthy!
